Noah's Character
- Noah was a just, blameless man (Genesis 6:9). Did he ever sin? Sure, but he did not continue doing it. He did what God required for the removal of guilt. What about you?
- He believed God even when it seemed unbelievable (Heb. 11:7). Noah had never seen rain before the Flood (Genesis 2:5-6). Evenso, Noah believed the warning of God. Do you find it hard to believe in a place like heaven? Do you believe that hell exists? Learn from Noah.
- By faith, he built an ark (Heb. 11:7). Faith and works led to Noah’s salvation from the flood. Notice that “by faith he built…” Faith without works is dead (James 2:26).
- Noah was a preacher of righteousness (2 Peter. 2:5). Noah neither preached nor practiced “salvation by faith alone” (2 Peter 2:5). What does your preacher teach? We need more preachers like Noah today!
