"My Lord and My God"

What would you do if someone said to you “My Lord and My God”? In Acts 12:21-23, Herod died when he did not refute the mistaken claim of others that he was deity. Thomas said these words to Jesus after His resurrection. Jesus had prophesied that He would raise Himself from the dead and now Thomas fully believes (John 2:19). And the way that Thomas expresses his belief is by saying to Jesus “My Lord and My God.” Did Thomas believe that Jesus was Lord? Did Thomas believe that Jesus was God? As Paul said elsewhere, “…when you read, you may understand (Ephesians 3:4).

Muslims demote Jesus to the place of being nothing more than a prophet.

Mormons teach that you can become “a god” just like Jesus.

“Jehovah’s Witnesses” teach that Jesus is not God, but He is only the Son of God (which shows that they do not understand what “Son of God” means). In recent correspondence with a “Jehovah’s Witness,” I was sent a TWELVE PAGE document which attempted to explain why Thomas did not call Jesus “God” in John 20:28. Does it really take twelve pages to understand the twelve words of John 20:28?

The Bible teaches that Jesus is both God (full deity; 1 Timothy 3:16) and the Son of God (John 20:30-31). Thomas was convinced that Jesus is raised, Jesus is Lord, and Jesus is God. Are you? If not, please contact us and explain why.
