Bible Classes

God expects every human to spend their life learning of Him-- that is the purpose of life (Ecclesiastes 12:13). In the New Testament, part of the way that Christians learned was by studying Scripture together (Acts 2:42). This is accomplished at the Jamestown church of Christ, in part, in our bible classes. Here are some of our recent areas of study--
The adult class studies a variety of topics in a variety of formats. We have studied a survey of the Gospels and Acts, a textual study of Romans, topical studies of the church of the New Testament, an overview of the Bible (divisions of the Bible, the relationship between sin and blood, conversion, etc). We'll be covering other topics in these formats in time. These classes provide a forum for questions, comments, and discussion which naturally arise from studying the Bible with others.
There are classes available for children ages 1+. These classes are focused on Scripture, not food and recreation. Children learn the Bible’s account of Creation (in six-literal days), and other Bible events and people. Some memory work may also be included.
If you are interested in fulfilling the purpose of your life on earth---learning of God and what He has said, then join us Sunday at 9:30AM and Wednesday at 7:00PM. Please contact us if you have any questions.
